Canadian Grand Prix Repeat Winners

Most of the Formula 1 greats inscribed their names on the Montreal honour roll. The record for victories belongs to Michael Schumacher. He dominated the event in 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004 before record crowds of 105,000 each time and he also won in 1994, 1997 and 1998.

Nelson Piquet had three wins

Jacky Ickx, Pedro Rodriguez, Jackie Stewart, Alan Jones and Ayrton Senna each had two wins.




Ferrari had 13 Constructor wins 1963, 1964, 1970, 1978, 1983, 1985, 1995 plus the years that Schumacher won

McLaren had ten wins followed by Williams with seven wins

Brabham had four; followed by Lotus, Tyrrell and Benetton each with two.

Rubens Barrichello driving a Ferrari held the lap record of 1:13.622 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in 2004.

In 2005, the Canadian Grand Prix was the most watched Formula One GP in the world. The race was also the third most watched sporting event on the planet, behind the first place Super Bowl XXXIX and the UEFA Champions League Final (soccer)
