CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 2002 Race

The 2002 Canadian Grand Prix was held on June 9, 2002 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal.

Michael Schmacher took yet another win in the 2002 season, although he didn't have it all his own way with Montoya reeling him in, but unfortunately for the Colombian his engine expired just when he was looking menacing.

Rubens Barrichello reckoned he had a good chance of winning the race but was compromised when the safety car came out early when Jacques Villeneuve's car broke down in a dangerous place.

David Coulthard fought valiantly to take second holding off Barrichello's charge near the end.
