CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 1970 Race

The Players Canadian Grand Prix had its final race at Le Circuit Mont Tremblant, Quebec September 20, 1970.

It was dark when we were setting up the tent.
Using Jim's Citroen's head lights that turned as the front wheels,
got us some interest from other campers.





                  PURSE                                                                                 At this race Lotus were absent as they   regrouped after Jochen Rindt's death at the Italian GP.

Tyrrell had a new car. The type 001 was the first Formula 1 car to be constructed by Tyrrell. Stewart led from the start until a stub-axle broke on the new car.

Jacky Ickx inherited the lead and the victory. Regazzoni (below) completed
1-2 for Ferrari with Chris Amon third
